Tth Yearning of the Yellow Earth

It is the distant yearning of this ancient loess land, and the long-awaited hope of a broken home.

There stands the elderly, frail mother, her trembling hand raised to shade her eyes as she gazes into the distance. The young grandchildren can scarcely remember what their parents even look like... "Oh, how I miss you! My son, who has been gone for so long."

Through symbolic techniques, this sculpture manifests history and reality, the future and our dreams. Viewed vertically through the lens of time, the chronicle of China—from the glory and decline of the Qin, Han, Tang, and Song dynasties to the prosperity and fall of the Ming and Qing—is a profound and weighty apocalypse. To "start anew and leap over the summit" is to transcend millennia of continuous history, looking back at the wisdom and mettle of our nation to rekindle confidence and courage for the days ahead.

In today’s volatile and turbulent world, what state of mind must we possess to respond with composure? The answer lies within this dense treasury of history, and within this sculpture so full of pathos and revelation.
