The Journey of a Visionary

My journey began at the age of sixteen, with a chisel in hand and a heart committed to the raw language of stone and clay. Now, with forty years of refinement, my artistic life has become a testament to the power of persistence and the pursuit of historical truth.

For me, sculpture is not the mere shaping of matter; it is the capturing of history's echo. Through the mastery of Xieyi (Freehand Expressionism), I strive to reveal the unyielding resilience and the profound spirit of the human soul.

An Epic of Two Decades: The Long March

The defining chapter of my career spanned twenty dedicated years, during which I immersed myself in the epic narrative of the Long March. This period culminated in the establishment of the Sculpture Epic — Tracing the Long March Theme Gallery—a monumental collection of 28 groups of sculptures.

Recognition: In 2006, my work The Four Crossings of the Chishui River was granted an exceptional one-year photographic exhibition at the Royal Society of Sculptors gallery in London—a rare distinction in the international sculpture community.

The Next Decade: Through Clouds and Waves

Since relocating to the United States, I have turned my gaze toward a new horizon: the global odyssey of human migration. My current vision is focused on the realization of “Through Clouds and Waves,” a cultural sanctuary designed as a spiritual home and a place of soul-belonging for the overseas Chinese community.

To Pierce the Clouds is to break through the mists of history, seeking the eternal sun of life.

To Tread the Waves is to possess the courage that defies mortality, forging a path of hope through sheer persistence and collective bravery.

This ten-year vision aims to honor the century-long journey of the diaspora, weaving the hardship, dignity, and unyielding spirit of the immigrant experience into an enduring epic of bronze and stone.
